Smt Sreya Guha IAS (Rajasthan 1994), presently, Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development, Rajasthan, Jaipur, has been given additional charge as Mission Director – Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikash Parishad (Livelihood Project) and Self Help Groups, Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Smt Guha’s educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in History from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, M. Phil. in Ancient History, also from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Additionally, she holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and has pursued management studies with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office at the University of Bradford.

The Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (RGAVP), registered as a society on October 27, 2011, under the Rajasthan Societies Act of 1958, plays an important role in the state’s rural development initiatives. The Chief Minister serves as the Chairman of the society, with the Chief Secretary of the Government of Rajasthan leading the Empowered Committee. The State Mission Director for Livelihoods Programmes (LPs) and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) acts as the Member Secretary. Moving forward, all rural livelihood programmes in Rajasthan will be implemented under the RGAVP’s auspices, focusing on developing effective poverty alleviation schemes funded by the State Government, the Government of India, and various funding agencies. Additionally, the RGAVP aims to implement best practices for effective convergence among governmental and non- governmental initiatives for rural development, while promoting the formation and strengthening of SHGs, producers’ organisations, community development organisations, and federations of SHGs. To enhance the income of the poor, the RGAVP also facilitate promotion of small and micro enterprises in both agricultural and non-agricultural sectors.
