Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) inaugurated two new branches in Tamil Nadu on December 30, 2024, expanding its network to 866 branches across India. These branches will provide a wide range of banking services, including savings and current accounts, deposits, loans, and locker facilities. With this addition, KVB now operates 475 branches in Tamil Nadu. During the 2024–25 financial year, the bank opened a total of 28 branches nationwide.
Details of the newly inaugurated branches:
- 865th Branch: Located at No. 8, Saraswathy Nagar, Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai, 600062. This branch was inaugurated by Mrs. Lakshmi, I.A.S., Director for Welfare of the Differently Abled, Government of Tamil Nadu.
- 866th Branch: Situated at No. 72, Sri Amman Tower, R.K.V. Nagar, No.1 Tollgate, Trichy, 621216. It was inaugurated by Mr. Prakash, Joint Commissioner, Arulmigu Mariyamman Thirukkovil, Samayapuram.
The new branches are equipped to handle various banking needs, offering an array of services spanning retail, institutional, and consumer lending.
KVB’s digital banking capabilities include internet and mobile banking platforms. The KVB DLite mobile app provides over 150 financial and non-financial services and was recently enhanced with new customer-centric features.
As of September 30, 2024, KVB operates through 866 branches and over 2,200 ATMs and cash recyclers. The bank reported a total business of ₹1,76,138 crores, with ₹95,839 crores in deposits and ₹80,299 crores in advances. It achieved its highest-ever net profit of ₹1,605 crores in the last financial year and recorded a net profit of ₹932 crores for the first half of the current fiscal. The bank maintains a strong financial position, with a Net NPA ratio of 0.28%.
