REC Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSU and leading NBFC under the Ministry of Power, REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL). handed over two project specific SPVs (special purpose vehicles) on Friday. This includes formation of Kallam Transco Limited and Jalapura Khurja Power Transmission Limited for construction of “ Western Region Network Expansion Scheme in Kallam Region of Maharashtra” and associated lines – 400/220 KV , 2 × 500 MVA GIS Substation Metro Depot (GR Noida). to be done. Along with this, 2 × 500 MVA GIS Substation Jalpura was awarded through tariff based bidding process.
M/s IndiGrid 2 Ltd. and IndiGrid 1 Ltd. (Consortium) were the successful bidders for the Inter State Transmission Project of the Ministry of Power, Government of India for the development of Western Region Network Extension Scheme in Kallam region of Maharashtra and M/s Tata Power Company Ltd. was the successful bidder for the Inter State Project. Was the successful bidder for construction of 400/220 KV , 2 × 500 MVA GIS Substation Metro Depot (GR Noida) along with 2 × 500 MVA GIS Substation Jalpura of Uttar Pradesh Government .
RECPDCL was the bidding process coordinator for both the projects. The SPV was handed over to the bidders in the presence of Shri Rajesh Kumar, CEO , RECPDCL and senior officials of RECPDCL , REC Limited , CTUIL and UPPTCL.
