Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to embark on a visit to Madhya Pradesh on February 11, 2024, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for an array of development projects valued at approximately 7500 crores in Jhabua.

Guided by the vision of Antyodaya, a central theme in the Prime Minister’s initiatives, the focus remains on extending the benefits of development to the tribal communities, a substantial portion of which has historically been deprived even decades after independence. The upcoming projects are poised to bring significant improvements to the lives of the tribal population in the region.

Among the key highlights of the visit, the Prime Minister will distribute monthly instalments of Aahar Anudan under the Aahar Anudan Yojna to around two lakh women beneficiaries, providing Rs 1500 per month for nutritious food to women from specially backward tribes in Madhya Pradesh.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will oversee the distribution of 1.75 lakh adhikar abhilekh (record of rights) to beneficiaries of the SVAMITVA Scheme, offering documentary evidence for land rights.

The foundation stone will be laid for Tantya Mama Bhil University, a dedicated institution catering to the youth in districts with a high tribal concentration. Valued at Rs 170 crore, the university is designed to provide world-class infrastructure for the holistic development of students.

Further contributions include a transfer of Rs. 55.9 crores for 559 villages under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, aimed at various construction activities to enhance infrastructure in these villages.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the ‘CM Rise School’ in Jhabua, integrating technology to provide modern facilities like smart classes and an e-library.

Several projects focused on water supply and drinking water provisioning in Madhya Pradesh will see their foundation stones laid, including the ‘Talavada Project’ and 14 urban water supply schemes under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0.

Rail projects, including the redevelopment of Ratlam and Meghnagar railway stations, will be initiated under the Amrit Bharat station scheme, along with projects for the doubling of Indore-Dewas-Ujjain C cabin railway line, Itarsi-North-South grade separator with yard remodelling, and a third line connecting Barkhera-Budni-Itarsi.

Road development projects worth over 3275 crores will also be dedicated and inaugurated, enhancing connectivity and fostering economic development in the region.

These initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to propelling comprehensive development across Madhya Pradesh, with a particular emphasis on uplifting tribal communities and fostering sustainable growth.
