Airports Authority of India (AAI), signed an MoU with Saab, a company serving the global market with world-leading products, services and solutions from military defense to civil security during the Global Aviation Summit 2019 being held at Mumbai. The MoU highlights the efforts of AAI focusing on addressing the challenges of aviation growth and enabling the ‘Flying for All’ vision of India.
The MoU is aimed to engage both the parties in discussion and jointly analyze potential cooperation opportunities on a non-exclusive basis with respect to Air Traffic Management solutions in India. The MoU plans to synergize the individual strengths of AAI and SAAB for Joint research and implementation of Pan India Automation system, implantation of cost-effective Air Traffic Management Solution for airports listed under UDAN Scheme and contingency Air Traffic Management Solution at major airports through digital tower.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Vineet Gulati, Member(ANS) from Airports Authority of India and Mr. Peter Engberg, Head of Traffic Management, Business Area Industrial Products and Services on behalf of Saab on 15th January, 2019.
