6 Bihar IAS Reshuffle, Pankaj Kumar IAS appointed Principal Secretary Agriculture

Indian Bureaucracy, Patna, June 10, 2025| The state government today announced transfer of three (03) Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Additionally, three (03) IAS officers have been relieved from their present duties to enable them to take up new assignments within various departments of the central government, pursuant to their central deputation. The particulars of these officers, encompassing their existing and new postings, are detailed hereunder.

1. Shri Pankaj Kumar IAS (Bihar 1997), presently Principal Secretary, Public Health
   Engineering Department, Bihar, with additional charge of Vigilance, GAD Bihar, Principal Secretary, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Bihar, and, Managing Director, Bihar State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation, Patna, is transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary – Department of Agriculture, Bihar. He will continue to hold all the additional charges mentions.
2. Shri Pankaj Kumar Pal IAS (Bihar 2002), presently Secretary, Energy Department, Bihar, with additional charge of CMD, Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Department of Public Health Engineering Department, Bihar.
3. Shri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal IAS (Bihar 2002), currently Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Bihar, with additional charge of Vigilance, General Administration Department, Bihar, is appointment as Joint Secretary – Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi, on Central Deputation basis.
4. Shri Daya Nidhan Pandey IAS (Bihar 2006), currently Additional Member,
   Board of Revenue, Bihar, is appointment as Joint Secretary – Ministry of Steel, Government of India, New Delhi, on Central Deputation basis.
5. Shri Manoj Kumar Singh IAS (Bihar 2009), presently Secretary, Health Department, Bihar, with additional charge of OSD, Office of Resident Commissioner, Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Energy Department, Bihar, with additional charge of CMD – Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited, Patna, and, OSD –  Office of The Resident Commissioner, Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi.
6. Shri Yogendra Singh IAS (Bihar 2013), presently Director, Secondary Education, Bihar, with additional charge of State Project Director, Bihar Education Project Council, is approved for Central Deputation and appointed as Private Secretary to Shri Giriraj Singh, Union Minister, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, at Deputy Secretary level.
