Transfers in Bihar Bureaucracy | In a significant administrative reshuffle, the government has transferred 22 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and assigned additional responsibilities to four officers with immediate effect with B Kartikeya Dhanji IAS (2008), previously the State Project Director of the Education Project Council, who is now appointed as the Secretary of the Road Construction Department. Minendra Kumar IAS (2007), formerly the Secretary of the State Disaster Management Authority, is now the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the State Education Finance Corporation. Rahul Kumar IAS (2010), previously Museum Director, is now Special Secretary in the Finance Department with an additional charge as OSD in the Disaster Management Department. Yogendra Singh IAS (2007), Director of Secondary Education, now takes on additional responsibilities as State Project Director for the Education Project Council and Managing Director of the State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation.
Other key appointments include Ranjita IAS (2009), who has been named Director of Social Welfare and will also oversee the Social Security Directorate, and Anand Sharma IAS (2006), now tasked with the additional responsibility of Chief General Manager – Vikas Mission. Geeta Singh IAS (2008) has moved from the Food and Consumer Protection Department to the Animal Husbandry Department, and Rachna Patil IAS (2009) will take on the additional charge as Director of the Museum, Art, Culture, and Youth Department. Naveen Kumar Singh IAS (2012) is now Additional Secretary in the Social Welfare Department, while Ibrar Alam IAS (2007) has been transferred to the Minority Welfare Department.
The reshuffle also includes appointments such as Abhilasha Kumari Sharma IAS (2008) as MNREGA Commissioner, Kalpana Kumari IAS (2009) as Additional Secretary in the Agriculture Department, and Rajneesh Kumar Singh IAS (2009) as Inspector General of Registration and Sub-Excise Commissioner. Rajesh Kumar Singh IAS (2011), Rakesh Ranjan IAS (2010), and Rajesh Bharti IAS (2010) have also been appointed to new roles. Vinayak Mishra IAS (2011) is now Director of the Mid-Day Meal scheme, Warish Khan IAS (2009) has been transferred to the Disaster Management Authority, and Sanjay Kumar IAS (2011) is now Joint Secretary in the Rural Works Department.
