Shri Vikas Sahay IPS (Gujarat 1989), presently Director General of Police, Gujarat, is granted an extension of six months from 01.07.2025 to 30.12.2025 to continue in his role as DGP of the state. He was originally scheduled to superannuate on 30.06.2025.
Shri Sahay assumed charge as interim DGP on 01.02.2023 following the retirement of Shri Ashish Bhatia IPS, and was subsequently appointed as the regular DGP of the state on 01.03.2025.
