Shri Vikas Anand IAS (AGMUT 2002) presently CEO (JS level)- National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) under the Department of Public Enterprises given premature repatriation to his parent cadre.
Shri Vikas Anand is a distinguished officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), known for his deep commitment to public service and rich experience across diverse domains of governance. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia, where he excelled academically with First Division, he went on to earn an M.Tech in Management & Systems from IIT Delhi, followed by a Master’s in Public Administration from the prestigious John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University—demonstrating his strong foundation in both technical and administrative disciplines.
Over the course of his illustrious career, Shri Anand has held several high-impact positions both at the Centre and in his cadre, displaying exceptional leadership, policy insight, and execution skills. Until his recent premature repatriation to his parent cadre, he served as CEO (Joint Secretary level) of the National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) under the Department of Public Enterprises, where he spearheaded critical initiatives related to asset monetization—a key reform area for the Government of India. Prior to this, he served with distinction as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, and earlier as Secretary and Commissioner in the Public Works Department and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, respectively, playing a vital role in infrastructure and urban governance.
Shri Anand’s earlier roles include key assignments such as CEO of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, Commissioner & MD of DSIDC, and Secretary of NDMC. His tenure as District Magistrate in Daman, Diu, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands was marked by efficient district administration and effective land revenue management. He also served as Private Secretary to Ministers of State for Home Affairs for several years, contributing to policy coordination at the highest levels of government.
