Shri Vaibhav Krishna IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2010), presently, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Azamgarh Range, Uttar Pradesh is transferred and appointed as DIG – Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Shri Vaibhav Krishna, is a 2010-batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, he cleared the UPSC examination in 2009, securing an impressive 86th rank, he is also an alumnus of IIT Roorkee and holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Shri Vaibhav Krishna, is a recipient of the DG Commendation Disc (Silver) in 2017, and believes in addressing allegations of corruption head-on to restore public trust in the police force. He is widely recognized for his decisive actions in combating corruption within the police force and maintaining transparency, integrity and accountability at all levels within law enforcement.

His recent operation in Ballia saw him acting on reports of systemic corruption at the Narhi police station, where officers were accused of extorting money from truck operators, Shri Krishna, in coordination with Additional Director General (ADG) of Varanasi Zone, IPS Piyush Mordia, conducted a surprise raid on the Bharouli police post.

During the operation, three police personnel were caught red-handed while extorting money. The officer in charge of the Narhi police station was subsequently suspended, and further investigations led to the suspension of 18 police personnel. In total, 20 individuals, including three police officers, were arrested for their involvement in illegal extortion activities.
