Shri Tamboli Ayyaj Fakirbhai has demonstrated exemplary leadership and administrative acumen throughout his distinguished career in public service. With an MBBS from MUHS Nashik and a Ph.D. in Management from Andhra University, he has seamlessly integrated medical expertise with governance, ensuring impactful decision-making in diverse administrative roles.

His leadership in health administration was evident when he took charge as Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission, Raipur (2014–2016) and later as Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Ltd. (2015), where he played a crucial role in improving healthcare services. As District Collector & Magistrate, Bijapur (2016–2018) and later District Collector & Magistrate, Bastar Division (2018–2020), he led major developmental projects and administrative reforms, ensuring effective governance at the district level.
Transitioning into urban planning and development, he served as Commissioner, Housing & Environment Department, Raipur (2020–2022) and simultaneously held the roles of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Naya Raipur Development Authority (NARDA) (2020–2022), spearheading key infrastructure projects. His tenure as Nodal Officer, Health & Family Welfare, Raipur (2021–2022) showcased his expertise in public health governance.
In recent years, he has continued to excel in high-profile roles, serving as Special Secretary, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries (2022–2024) and later as Commissioner (Housing), Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CGHB) (2024). His appointment as Director, Cabinet Secretariat, New Delhi (2024–2029) marks a significant milestone, entrusting him with key responsibilities in national governance. With his recent empanelment as Joint Secretary at the Centre, he is set to contribute further to policy formulation and administrative excellence at the highest levels.
