Seven IAS Trainees posted as Asst Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development

IndianBureaucracy, New Delhi – Seven 2022 Batch of IAS Officer Trainees have recently been assigned as Assistant Secretaries in the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.

After successfully completing their district training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, these Officer Trainees are designated as Assistant Secretaries across various Central Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

The Trainee Officers are:

  1. Ashish Kumar IAS (Bihar 2022), holds a degree in B. Tech. and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Gaya, Bihar.
  2. Awate Amol Shantaram IAS (Gujarat 2022), holds a degree in B. A. and recently concluded his District training as Supernumerary Assistant Collector – Dahod, Gujarat.
  3. Ayush Venkat Vats IAS (Tamil Nadu 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech (Mech. Engg.) and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu.
  4. Mukul Beniwal IAS (AGMUT 2022), holds a degree in B. Tech. and recently concluded his District training as Attached with Deputy Commissioner, Govt. of Mizoram – Serchhip, Mizoram.
  5. Pranjal Dhanda IAS (Jharkhand 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech (Comp. Sci.) and M.A.(Social Work) and recently concluded her Assistant Magistrate-cum-Assistant Collector – Dumka, Jharkhand.
  6. Tanushree Meena IAS (Madhya Pradesh 2022), recently concluded her District training as Assistant Collector – Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh.
  7. Uma Shankar Prasad IAS (Telangana 2022), holds a degree in B. Tech. and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Jayashankar-Bhupalapally, Telangana.

Starting from May 20, 2024, till July 12, 2024, for a period of eight weeks, the Officer Trainees will be actively participating in the day-to-day operations in their assigned duties. This period marks a critical step in their careers, offering first hand experience in governance and policy implementation at the highest levels of the Indian bureaucracy.
