Seven IAS Trainees posted as Asst Secretary in Ministry of Home Affairs

IndianBureaucracy, New Delhi – Seven 2022 Batch of IAS Officer Trainees have recently been assigned as Assistant Secretaries in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

After successfully completing their district training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, these Officer Trainees are designated as Assistant Secretaries across various Central Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

The Trainee Officers are:

  1. Aashima Goyal IAS (Uttarakhand 2022), holds a degree in M.Tech, She was initially recruited in the Kerala cadre but later took an inter-cadre transfer to the Uttarakhand cadre.
  2. Ankur Das IAS (Assam Meghalaya 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech. in Bio-Technology and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Commissioner – Baksa, Assam.
  3. Barot Hiren Jitendrabhai IAS (Gujarat 2022), holds a degree in B. Com and recently concluded his District training as Supernumerary Assistant Collector – Surendranagar, Gujrat.
  4. Mridul Shivhare IAS (Assam Meghalaya 2022), holds a degree in B.A. in Political Science and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Commissioner – Dhubri, Assam.
  5. Patil Abhijeet Rajendra IAS (Sikkim 2022), holds a degree in B.E. and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Land Revenue & Disaster Management Dept, Gangtok, Sikkim.
  6. Pawar Omkar Madhukar IAS (Maharashtra 2022), holds a degree in B.E. and recently concluded his District training as Supernumerary Assistant Collector – Gadchiroli, Maharashtra.
  7. Samyak S Jain IAS (AGMUT 2022), holds a degree in B.A. and recently concluded his District training with Govt of Puducherry, Karaikal (Pondi).

Starting from May 20, 2024, till July 12, 2024, for a period of eight weeks, the Officer Trainees will be actively participating in the day-to-day operations in their assigned duties. This period marks a critical step in their careers, offering firsthand experience in governance and policy implementation at the highest levels of the Indian bureaucracy.
