The Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC), now a ‘Maharatna’ company under the Ministry of Power, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI) under the National Informatics Centre (NIC), part of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. The MoU focuses on various Information & Communications Technology (ICT) and Digital Transformation Services. This collaboration aims to bring the latest technology, including IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Blockchain, and Cyber Security, to the REC ecosystem. The partnership will allow REC to deploy, host, and provide technical support for NIC/NICSI Software products, contributing to a comprehensive digital transformation.
