Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development projects worth over Rs. 50,700 crore in Bina, Madhya Pradesh. These projects include the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (BPCL) Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery, costing about Rs. 49,000 crores, a Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone in Narmadapuram district, two IT parks in Indore, a Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam, and six new industrial areas across Madhya Pradesh.
PM Modi highlighted the significance of these projects, emphasizing that the central government’s investment of 50,000 crore rupees underscores their commitment to Madhya Pradesh’s development.
He also emphasized the importance of the manufacturing sector and announced the commencement of work on ten new industrial projects. Projects in Narmadapuram, Indore, and Ratlam are expected to boost Madhya Pradesh’s industrial capabilities for the benefit of all.
The Prime Minister mentioned various welfare initiatives, including the construction of 40 lakh pucca houses for the poor, ensuring access to toilets, free medical treatment, bank accounts, and smokeless kitchens. He also highlighted the government’s expenditure of over Rs. 2,60,000 crores on the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and efforts to reduce farmers’ costs, provide affordable fertilizers, and tackle urea scams.
PM Modi mentioned irrigation projects in Bundelkhand, particularly the Ken-Betwa Link Canal, which will benefit farmers in many districts, including Bundelkhand. He also discussed the government’s efforts to provide piped water to every household and the Atal GroundWater Scheme’s progress in Bundelkhand.
The Prime Minister affirmed the government’s commitment to the region’s development and announced the grand celebration of the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati on October 5th, 2023.
Present at the event were Madhya Pradesh Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, among others.
During the program, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for ten projects, including the ‘Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone’ in Narmadapuram district, two IT parks in Indore, a Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam, and six new industrial areas in different locations.
