The Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute (NRFMTTI), under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, located in Hisar, Haryana, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., a leading manufacturer of tractors and agricultural machinery based in Mumbai. This strategic partnership is geared towards promoting youth skill development, providing them with essential expertise to pursue careers in the farm mechanisation sector.

The MoU aims to provide comprehensive training programs to prepare youth for the agricultural machinery industry, bridging the gap between industry requirements and their skill sets to strengthen the farm mechanization workforce.

  1. Tailored Skill Development: NRFMTTI and Mahindra will collaborate to create specialized skill development programs catering to the farm machinery sector’s unique requirements.
  2. Cutting-Edge Training Facilities: Mahindra will establish top-notch training facilities, equipped with modern laboratories and experienced instructors, ensuring high-quality education.
  3. Industry-Aligned Curriculum: The curriculum will closely match industry needs, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for employment.
  4. Internships and Job Placement: The partnership will offer student internships at Mahindra, providing practical industry exposure. Mahindra will actively participate in job placements for NRFMTTI graduates.
