NLC has been conferred with the ‘National Award for Outstanding Industrial Relations’ for the year 2014-15 by All India Organization of Employers (AIOE) an allied body of FICCI, for its Industrial Relations.
Shri.Bandaru.Dattatreya, Minister of Labour & Employment, Government of India presented the award to NLC. Shri Thiagaraju , GM/HR received the award on behalf of NLC at the Annual General Meeting of AIOE in Federation House, Delhi.
All India Organizations of Employers (AIOE) is an allied body of FICCI which has been serving the cause of Indian enterprises by promoting sound industrial relations and better understanding between employers and workers on the mutuality of interest. This Award is awarded to the companies, who have given innovative approaches to foster harmonious industrial relations through bipartite mechanism, reducing conflicts, loss of mandays, promoting employers’ welfare and development avenues, contributing to higher motivation, moral and productivity improvement.
As part of the competition, NLC competed with the 20 organizations ( Both Private and Public Sector) in the south Zone and was shortlisted for final presentation. Finally the National level presentation round held on May 9, 2016 with ten finalists. The Jury comprising of famous and respected personalities of India like Hon’ble Former Chief Justice of India declared NLC for First runner-up for the award. The award recognizes such organizations across the country that has outstanding industrial relations.
Senior Executives and Employees of Industrial Relations Dept. and Human Resources Dept. handed over the award to Shri Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLC at Corporate Office on 21.05.2016. Shri Acharya congratulated all Executives of IR&HR for winning the significant award.
