The Army Commanders’ Conference, a biannual apex-level event, is scheduled to be held from October 16th to 20th, 2023, in New Delhi. This conference serves as a crucial institutional platform for high-level discussions and policy decisions pertaining to the Indian Army.

Following the format adopted this year, the forthcoming Army Commanders’ Conference will be conducted in a hybrid manner. Army Commanders and senior officials will commence the conference virtually on the first day, with the remaining deliberations taking place in a physical format.

The conference, scheduled for October 18, 2023, will witness the presence of esteemed figures, including Shri Rajnath Singh, the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri. General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, General Manoj Pande, Chief of the Army Staff, and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff, will address the attendees. Dr Ajay Kumar Sood, the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, will also deliver a talk on “Leveraging Technology for National Security.”

The leadership at the apex level will engage in discussions on current and emerging security scenarios, alongside reviewing the operational readiness of the Indian Army. Key topics on the agenda include the evaluation of the ongoing transformation process, matters related to training, human resource management, and issues affecting both serving personnel and veterans. The Army Commanders’ Conference, with its comprehensive scope, underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to progress, adaptability, and readiness for the future.
