Shri Manoj Kumar Mohapatra IFS (2000) presently Ambassador of India to Guatemala, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Romania, following an impactful tenure as Ambassador to Guatemala, with concurrent accreditation to El Salvador and Honduras. Widely regarded as a diligent and forward-thinking diplomat, Shri Mohapatra has earned a reputation for his proactive engagement, strategic clarity, and people-centric approach in diplomacy.
Born on May 18, 1971, in Odisha, he holds a Master’s degree in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDIBM), reflecting a rare combination of scientific training and managerial competence.
