Major IPS Reshuffle in Punjab, 11 IPS Transferred, New Leadership for Counter Intel and ANTF

Indian Bureaucracy, Chandigarh, April 06, 2025| In a late-night order issued on April 6, 2025, the Punjab government transferred Ninety-seven (97) police personnel, including eleven (11) IPS officers, in a significant reshuffle. Among the changes, Smt Ravjot Grewal IPS (2015) has been appointed AIG – Counter Intelligence in SAS Nagar, while Smt Ashwini Gotyal IPS (2016) takes over as AIG – Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in SAS Nagar. Additionally, Smt Vatsala Gupta IPS (2016) will hold the additional charge of AIG – Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in Ludhiana.

Details of the aforementioned transfers are listed below;

1. Smt Ravjot Grewal IPS (Punjab 2015), presently AIG, Technical Services, Punjab, Chandigarh, is transferred and appointed as AIG – Counter Intelligence, SAS Nagar, Punjab.
2. Smt Ashwini Gotyal IPS (Punjab 2016), presently AIG, HRD, Punjab, is transferred and appointed as AIG – Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), SAS Nagar, Punjab.
3. Smt Vatsala Gupta IPS (Punjab 2016), presently Commandant, 27th Bn. PAP, Jalandhar, Punjab, given additional charge of  as AIG – Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Ludhiana, Punjab.
4. Smt Jasroop Kaur Batth IPS (Punjab 2020), presently SP, Investigation, Jalandhar Rural, is transferred and appointed as ADCP-III, Amritsar.
5. Shri Aditya S Warrier IPS (Punjab 2020), presently ADCP, Investigation, Jalandhar, is transferred and appointed as as SP – Investigation, Amritsar Rural.
6. Shri Vaibhav Choudhary IPS (Punjab 2020), presently ASP, Detective, Patiala, is transferred and appointed as as SP – Headquarters, Patiala.
7. Ms Akarshi Jain IPS (Punjab 2020), presently ASP, SD Civil Lines, Ludhiana, is transferred and appointed as ADCP-I, Jalandhar, in the rank of ASP.
8. Shri Sirivennela IPS (Punjab 2021), presently ASP, SD Model Town, Jalandhar, is transferred and appointed as ADCP-II – Amritsar, in the rank of ASP.
9. Shri Jayant Puri IPS (Punjab 2021), presently ASP, 13th Bn. PAP, Chandigarh, is transferred and appointed as ADCP – Investigation, Jalandhar.
10. Shri Vineet Ahlawat IPS (Punjab 2021), presently ASP, SD East, Amritsar, is appointed as ADCP – Operations and Security, Jalandhar.
11. Shri Dilpreet Singh IPS (Punjab 2021), presently ASP, SD Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, is transferred and appointed as SP, Headquarters, Sangrur, in the rank of ASP.
