Indian Bureaucracy, Mumbai, May 15, 2025| In a reshuffle of senior IPS officers, the Maharashtra Home Department transferred eight (08) senior IPS officers of IGP rank. Ravindra Shisve of 2002 batch has been appointed as Joint Commissioner of the State Intelligence Department (SID), whilst Sharada Raut the IPS officer of 2005 batch and the current Joint Commissioner of SID, will takes charge as Special IGP of the newly-created Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF).

The state cabinet recently approved of expansion of the ANTF with 346 new posts to strengthen the narcotics control in the state. According to figures published by narcoticsindia.nic.in in their 2024 report on drug seizures by all Drug Law Enforcement Agencies (DLEAs), the state reported a total of 7,536 seizure cases and arrested 8,009 individuals.

Following is the list of the officers with their new assignments and postings,

  1. Shri Ravindra Shisve IPS (Maharashtra 2002), presently Commissioner, Mumbai Railway Police (GRP), Mumbai, is transferred and appointed as Joint Commissioner – State Intelligence Department (SID), Maharashtra, replacing Smt Sharada Raut IPS.
  2. Smt Sharada Raut IPS (Maharashtra 2005), presently Joint Commissioner, State Intelligence Department (SID), Maharashtra, is transferred and appointed as Special IG – Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Maharashtra.
  3. Smt Supriya Patil Yadav (2004 batch), upon return from Central Deputation as DIG, CBI and awaiting further posting, is appointed as Special IG – Establishment, PHQ, Maharashtra.
  4. Shri Navinchandra Reddy IPS (Maharashtra), presently Commissioner – Amravati City, is ransferred and appointed as  Joint Commissioner – Nagpur, Maharashtra.
  5. Shri Nisar Tamboli IPS (Maharashtra 2005), presently Joint Commissioner, Nagpur, is transferred and appointed as Special IG – State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), Nagpur, relieving Shri Rajiv Jain IPS.
  6. Shri Rajiv Jain IPS (Maharashtra 2007), presently DIG, State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), Nagpur, is transferred and appointed as Special IG – Coastal Security, Maritime.
  7. Shri Abhishek Trimukhe IPS (Maharashtra 2007), presently Additional CP, North Mumbai, is transferred and appointed as Special IGP (Administration) at the state police headquarters.
  8. Dr Arti Singh IPS (Maharashtra 2006), presently Special IGP, Administration, is relieved from her post and awaiting further posting.
