Justice Radhakishan Agrawal appointed as Additional Judge in the High Court of Chhattisgarh for a period of one year w.e.f. 02.08.2024.
Bom on 1st of September 1964 in Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh). His father Late Shri Satyanarayan Agrawal was a Businessman and engaged in farming and mother Late Smt. Kamla Devi Agrawal was a home-maker.
He completed his Graduation in B.Com and did Post-Graduation in M.A (Public Administration) from Government Digvijay College, Rajnandgaon. He obtained Law Degree in 1985 from Law College, Rajnandgaon.
Enrolled as an Advocate in January, 1986 at Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council and started practicing in District & Sessions Court at Rajanandgaon. He joined Judicial Service in 1990 as Civil Judge, Class-II at Durg and then in the same capacity worked at Bemetara, Raipur and Katghora. Rendered his services as Deputy Welfare Commissioner, Bhopal Gas Victim Claims Tribunal at Bhopal. Was promoted to the post of CJM at Raipur. Also dealt with cases of CBI for Chhattisgarh as Special Judicial Magistrate. Had worked as Additional District & Sessions Judge at Surajpur, Durg and Kanker. Also served as Special Judge under NDPS Act, SC/ST (PA) Act at Durg. Rendered services as Additional Director, Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy. Was posted as Additional Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Law and Legislative Department. Rendered services as District & Sessions Judge at Korba, Durg and Bilaspur. Worked as President, District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum, Presiding Officer of State Transport Appellate Tribunal and as Principal Judge, Family Court at Raipur. Thereafter, on 07.02.2020, he was posted as Legal Advisor to Hon’ble Governor, Governor’s Secretariat at Raipur.
While rendering his services at Korba, he received a Best District Legal Service Award of Excellence of East Zone in the year 2014 in All Over India by the then Hon’ble Chief Justice of India at New Delhi. While serving as a District & Sessions Judge Durg, under his leadership, Durg district got highest remarkable disposal of 5 years and 10 years old pending cases as per the action plan of High Court of Chhattisgarh. While serving as Principal Judge of Family Court, Raipur, remarkable number of cases were settled amicably by him.
While serving as District & Sessions Judge at Bilaspur, His Lordship has been elevated as an Additional Judge of High Court of Chhattisgarh on 2nd August 2022.
