Justice Firdosh Phiroze Pooniwalla presently Additional Judge- Bombay High Court  appointed as Permanent Judge of the Bombay High Court.

Justice Firdosh Pooniwalla did his schooling from Don Bosco High School (Matunga) in Bombay. He joined the Ramnarain Ruia College in Bombay and obtained a B. A. degree from the Bombay University in 1990. He then joined Government Law College at Bombay and obtained a LLB degree from the Bombay University in 1993. He passed the Solicitors’ Examination conducted by the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in November, 1994.

From 1991 to 1995, he was working in the reputed law firm of M/s. Mulla and Mulla and Craigie Blunt and Caroe in Bombay. On 1st July, 1995, he joined the Chambers of Mr. N. H. Seervai . He continued to be in the Chambers of Mr. Seervai till June, 2011. In June, 2011, he started his own independent Counsel practice.

He practised in various fields of law, including Civil, Commercial, Property, Constitutional and Arbitration laws. He was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Hon’ble Bombay High Court on 16th February, 2023.

He took oath as an Additional Judge of the Hon’ble Bombay High Court on 15th June, 2023.
