Himachal Pradesh Government Reverses Transfer Orders, Recalls 3 IAS Officers

Indian Bureaucracy, Shimla, May 02, 2025| The Himachal Pradesh government has rescinded the transfer orders of three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, initially issued on April 27, 2025. Ms. Ritika, previously transferred to the position of Commissioner, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation, will return to her role in Land Records, Shimla; Shri Vijay Wardhan has been reassigned to the Department of Public Finance and Public Enterprises, and Dr. (Major, Retd.) Vishal Sharma will now join the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala. The revised postings are effective immediately.

  1. Ms Ritika IAS (Himachal Pradesh, 2019), will continue as Director, Land Records, Himachal Pradesh, following the cancellation of her transfer order. The earlier directive, appointing her as Commissioner, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation, District Kangra, with additional charge as CEO-cum-Managing Director, Dharamshala Smart City Ltd., has been rescinded, effective immediately.

  2. Shri Vijay Wardhan IAS (Himachal Pradesh, 2021), appointed as Director, Public Finance and Public Enterprises-cum-Special Secretary, Finance, Himachal Pradesh, with additional charge as Director, Treasuries, Accounts & Lotteries, Shimla. The transfer order, appointing him as Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala, District Kangra, has been cancelled, effective immediately.

  3. Dr (Major, Retd.) Vishal Sharma HPAS (2011), will continue as Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, with no changes to his current assignment, effective immediately.
