Haryana IAS Reshuffle, 7 Transferred, Virender Lather IAS appointed DMC Ambala

Indian Bureaucracy, Chandigarh, May 15, 2025| The Haryana government has announced the transfer of seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and one Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officer through three separate orders. Details of the officers and their new postings are provided below.

1. Shri Virender Lather IAS (Haryana 2014), presently Chief Executive, Haryana Khadi and Village lndustries Board, with additional charge of Controller and Special Secretary, Printing & Stationery, Haryana, is transferred and appointed as District Municipal Commissioner – Ambala, with additional charge of Commissioner and Municipal Commissioner – Ambala, Haryana, relieving Dr Balpreet Singh IAS (Haryana 2019).
2. Shri Rahul Narwal IAS (Haryana 2016), presently Special Secretary, lnformation Technology, Electronics & Communication Department, Haryana, with additional charge of Director, lnformation Technology, Electronics & Communication, Haryana, and, Managing Director, CONFED, is transferred and appointed as Special Director – Rural Development, Haryana, with additional charge of Special Secretary – Rural Development Department, Haryana.
3. Shri Hitesh Kumar Meena IAS (Haryana 2019), presently Additional CEO, Haryana Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran, is appointed Additional Secretary – Public Works (B&R) Department, Haryana.
4. Dr Balpreet Singh IAS (Haryana 2019), presently District Municipal Commissioner, Ambala and Commissioner and Municipal Commissioner, Ambala, is transferred and appointed as Chief Executive, Haryana Khadi and Village industries Board, with additional charge of Director and and Additional Secretary – Archives Department, Haryana, relieving Shri Virender Lather IAS (Haryana 2014) of the charge of Khadi and Village industries Board.
5. Ms Renu Sogan IAS (Haryana 2019), presently Additional Secretary, Grievances Department, Haryana, is transferred and appointed as Additional Secretary – Citizen Resources lnformation Department (CRID), Haryana.
6. Dr Priyanka Soni IAS (Haryana 2012), presently Special Secretary, Vigilance Department, Haryana, with additional charge of Special Secretary, Monitoring & Coordination, Haryana, is transferred and appointed Director and Special Secretary – New & Renewable Energy, Haryana and to Government, Haryana.
7. Shri Akhil Pilani IAS (Haryana 2018), presently District Municipal Commissioner, Yamunanagar, Haryana, is appointed as Commissioner – Municipal Corporation – Yamunanagar, Haryana.
8. Shri Arpit Gahlawat HCS (2023), presently Joint Director, Consolidation of Holdings, Rohtak, Haryana, is transferred and appointed as Joint Director – Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes and Antyodaya (SEWA), Haryana.
