Shri Harsh Kumar Jain IFS (1993), presently Ambassador of India to Ukraine, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Philippines.
Shri Harsh Kumar Jain joined the Indian Foreign Service in September 1993 and joined the Embassy of India in Kyiv on April 5, 2022.
He has served as India’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan (2014-2017) and the Slovak Republic (2017-2018). His postings include roles in Moscow, Kyiv, St. Petersburg, London, and Kathmandu.
He was a member of the UN Group of Governmental Experts on Information Security (2012-2013). In Delhi, he headed the BIMSTEC and SAARC Division, the Global Estate Management Division, and the e-Governance, IT, and Cyber Diplomacy Division. He was also the desk officer for Afghanistan.
Shri Jain holds degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. He speaks Hindi, English, and Russian.
