As part of its continued endeavour of spotting and nurturing young talent at the HAL Football Academy, HAL Sports Club, Bengaluru invites applications from young boys in two categories (Under-15 and Under-18) for selection trials.
The selected boys will be provided with systematic coaching under qualified coaches and receive stipend and scholarship. All round development of players is ensured through training on turf grounds, right diet and the required sporting kit. The aim is to spot and develop players of exceptional calibre and groom them for domestic and international tournaments. In addition, emphasis will be on developing a holistic sports personality, character building and understand nuances of the game. The boys will have exposure tours and gradually play in tournaments in the various age categories.
Aspiring footballers only from Bengaluru are eligible to apply for the selection. For application and other details one may visit HAL web site http://www.hal-india.com/Football%20Talent%20Hunt/M__314 or at HAL Sports Club (Contact Nos 22321391 / 22322635).
HAL started the scheme in 2015 and training for the first batch of students commenced from 2016. Recently, three boys in the U-18 category represented the Karnataka State at Cuttack in Odisha. Once the training is over the youngsters can look for bigger opportunities through the school and professional football organizations.
