Five IAS Trainees posted as Asst Secretary in Ministry of Education

IndianBureaucracy, New Delhi – Five 2022 Batch of IAS Officer Trainees have recently been assigned as Assistant Secretaries in the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

After successfully completing their district training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, these Officer Trainees are designated as Assistant Secretaries across various Central Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

The Trainee Officers are:

  1. Akhil V Menon IAS (Kerala 2022), holds a degree in B.A.L.L.B. and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
  2. Prafull Kumar Sharma IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech. and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh.
  3. Prakhar Chandrakar IAS (Chhattisgarh 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech. and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Kanker, Chhattisgarh.
  4. S Sivanandham IAS (Tamil Nadu 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech. and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu.
  5. Vidyasagar IAS (Gujarat 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech. and recently concluded his District training as Supernumerary Assistant Collector – Patan, Gujarat.

Starting from May 20, 2024, till July 12, 2024, for a period of eight weeks, the Officer Trainees will be actively participating in the day-to-day operations in their assigned duties. This period marks a critical step in their careers, offering firsthand experience in governance and policy implementation at the highest levels of the Indian bureaucracy.
