The Department of Consumer Affairs launched Special Campaign 2.0 from October 2, 2022, extended up to August 2023, following instructions from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). The campaign focused on enhancing cleanliness, streamlining administrative processes, and optimizing workspace utilization. Activities included thorough cleanliness drives, simplification of rules, record management system overhaul, space utilization, and waste disposal.

Entities like BIS, NCCF, NTH, LM, and RRSLs actively participated, showcasing innovative practices like vermicomposting and e-waste segregation. The Department also prioritized cleanliness outside the National Capital Region, involving 72 office premises in the campaign. They successfully resolved 12963 Public Grievances and 1407 Public Grievance Appeals from November 2022 to August 2023. Additionally, 110 cleanliness campaigns nationwide led to the liberation of 2728 sq. ft. of space and generated revenue of Rs.6,60,547/- through responsible disposal.

The campaign’s progress was regularly updated on the SCDPM portal of the DARPG.
