In a significant Indian Bureaucracy News, Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday transferred 36 IAS officers including district magistrates after a review of the law and order situation by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.Anil Kumar Gupta, who was shifted from the post of Principal Secretary (Home) on June 2 after the state government came under fire over the Badaun gangrape and murder of two teenage cousin sisters, has got the less important post of Member, UP Revenue Board.
A total of 66 IAS officers were shifted on Saturday. Facing flak over the law and order situation in the state, Yadav referred to the rape incidents in Badaun and Kannauj and said the district administration there should have taken “appropriate steps”. The Chief Minister held a meeting with top officials here and said the kind of work expected from the police and administration was not being done.
Yadav said that it was the duty of divisional and district level officers to keep a close watch on the development works. The Chief Minister assured the meeting that while hardworking and honest officers would be protected, stern action would be taken against lax and corrupt ones. He said the local administration should not let the image of the state or the government be affected.

“HCL has demonstrated expertise in transformations for large clients in the financial services segment and with its operations, we aim to deliver a first-class user experience to our users,” DNB chief operating officer Liv Fiksdahl said on the occasion.

As global banks are looking for ways to improve their mission-critical IT operations for delivering world-class customer service, Gupta said its team would deploy its Enterprise of the future framework to enable DNB to transform its IT infrastructure.

The Election Commission (EC) has ordered the deployment of more security personnel for the fifth phase of polling in 15 parliamentary constituencies of Uttar Pradesh on May 7, officials said on Tuesday.

With several incidents of booth capturing in the third and fourth rounds of balloting in the state and apprehensions about further rigging by major political parties, the EC has directed that 300 companies of central forces will oversee the May 7 election in the state.

Chief Electoral Officer Umesh Sinha has asked for enhanced security cover at all the polling stations at a meeting held with the security agencies, a senior official told IANS.

More security personnel are now available for the remaining two phases of election in the state as in most parts of the country, the polls are over. The EC can now use them optimally, DIG A. Satish Ganesh told IANS.

With some seats being located in the naxal affected regions of the eastern Uttar Pradesh in the May 7 polls, more security cover is provided to the polling officials on duty, Ganesh said.

Many opposition leaders, including BJP general secretary Amit Shah and BSP chief Mayawati were anxious of the ruling Samajwadi Party over using muscle power to rig the polls. They have demanded deployment of more central forces during the remaining phases of the election on May 7 and 12 (IANS)

Facebook, Google threatened_indianbureaucracy

Facebook, Twitter, Google,Microsoft and many other online services users have been hit by a serious new security flaw.

The flaw in two widely used security standards could give anyone access to your account information at any of the online services. According to Fox News, the flaw, dubbed ‘Covert Redirect’ by its discoverer, exists in two open-source session-authorization protocols, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID.

Both standards are employed across the Internet to let users log into websites using their credentials from other sites. Attackers could exploit the flaw to disguise and launch phishing attempts from legitimate websites.

According to the report, the biggest danger of Covert Redirect is that it could be used to conduct phishing attacks, in which cybercriminals seize login credentials, by using email messages containing links to malicious websites disguised as something their targets might want to visit.  (ANI)
