Indian Bureaucracy, Hyderabad, April 28, 2025| On April 27, 2025, the Telangana government transferred 20 IAS officers, key appointments include Dr Shashank Goel as Vice Chairman of the Centre for Good Governance and Shri Jayesh Ranjan as Special Chief Secretary & CEO, Industry & Investment Cell, CMO. M. Dana Kishore moves to the Labour Department. The full list of officers and their new roles is provided below.

1. Dr Shashank Goel IAS (Teliangana 1990),  presently Director General, Dr MCR HRD Institute, Hyderabad, Telangana, is transferred and appointed as Vice Chairman – Centre for Good Governance, with additional charge of Director General – Environment Protection Training & Research Institute (EPTRI), relieving Shri Ahmad Nadeem IAS (Telangana 1997) from additional charge of the post.
2. Shri Jayesh Ranjan IAS (Telangana 1992), presently Special Chief Secretary, ITE&C and Sports Department, is transferred and appointed as Special Chief Secretary & CEO – Industry & Investment Cell, Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), CEO – Smart Proactive Efficient and Effective Delivery (SPEED), with additional charge of Special Chief Secretary – Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture (YAT&C) Department, and Director – Archaeology, relieving Smt Smita Sabharwal IAS (Telangana 2001).
3. Shri Sanjay Kumar IAS (Telangana 1995), presently Special Chief Secretary, LET&F Department, is transferred and appointed as Special Chief Secretary – Industries & Commerce Department and Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (ITE&C) and Sports Department, relieving Shri Jayesh Ranjan IAS (Telangana 1992).
4. Shri M Dana Kishore IAS (Telangana 1996), presently Principal Secretary, MA & UD Department, is transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary – LET&F Department, relieving Shri Sanjay Kumar IAS (Telangana 1995), with additional charge of Commissioner – Labour, Director – Insurance Medical Services and Director – Employment & Training. He shall continue in additional charge of the post of Principal Secretary to Governor.
5. Smt Smita Sabharwal IAS (Telangana 2001) has been transferred to Member Secretary, TG Finance Commission.
6. Dr T K Sreedevi IAS (Telangana 2004), presently Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Municipal Administration Department (outside HMDA), with additional charge of Commissioner & Director – Municipal Administration, MA Department (for Municipalities & Corporations outside ORR limits).
7. Shri Ilambarithi K IAS (Telangana 2005), presently Commissioner, GHMC, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Metropolitan Area & Urban Development Department (HMDA limits).
8. Shri R V Karnan IAS (Telangana 2012), presently Director, Health & Family Welfare, is transferred and appointed as Commissioner – Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), relieving Shri Ilambarithi K IAS (Telangana 2005).
9. Shri K Shashanka IAS (Telangana 2013), presently Commissioner, State Flagship Projects, is transferred and appointed as Commissioner – Future City Development Authority (FCDA), with additional charge of Director – Mines & Geology.
10. Shri S Harish IAS (Telangana 2015), presently Special Commissioner, Information and Public Relations (I&PR) & EO, with additional charge of Special Secretary, GA(I&PR) Department, is transferred and appointed as CMD – Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited (GENCO), relieving Shri Sandeep Kumar Sultania IAS (Telangana 1998) from additional charge. He is also placed in additional charge of the post of Special Commissioner – I&PR & EO, Special Secretary – GA(I&PR) Department and Joint Secretary – Revenue Department.
11. Smt K Nikhila IAS (Telangana 2015), presently CEO, TGIRD, is given additional charge of Secretary & CEO – Telangana Human Rights Commission.
12. Smt S Sangeetha Satyanarayana IAS (Telangana 2015), presently Joint Secretary, CMO, is transferred and appointed as Director – Health & Family Welfare, with additional charge of CEO – Arogyasri Health Care Trust, relieving Shri R V Karnan IAS (Telangana 2012).
13. Shri S Venkata Rao IAS (Telangana 2015), presently Director, Protocol, and Joint Secretary – Protocol, GAD, is transferred and appointed as Director – Endowments, with additional charge of Executive Officer – Yadagirigutta Temple.
14. Smt P Katyayani Devi IAS (Telangana 2017), presently Joint Managing Director, State Finance Corporation, is transferred and appointed as Additional CEO – Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP).
15. Shri E V Narsimha Reddy IAS (Telangana 2017), presently Director, School Education, is transferred and appointed as Additional CEO – Industry & Investment Cell & SPEED, with additional charge of Managing Director – Musi River Development Corporation Ltd (MRDCL), relieving Shri M Dana Kishore IAS (Telangana 1996) from additional charge.
16. Shri Bhorkhade Hemant Sahadeorao IAS (Telangana 2018), presently Managing Director, Telangana Medical Services Infrastructure Development Corporation (TGMSIDC), is transferred and appointed as Zonal Commissioner – Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
17. Shri G Phaneendra Reddy IAS (Telangana 2018), presently Chief Rationing Officer, Hyderabad, is transferred and appointed as Managing Director – Telangana Medical Service Infrastructure Development Corporation (TGMSIDC), relieving Shri Bhorkhade Hemant Sahadeorao IAS (Telangana 2018).
18. Shri P Kadhiravan IAS (Telangana 2020), presently Additional Collector (Local Bodies), Hyderabad, is transferred and appointed as Joint Commissioner – PR & RD.
19. Shri K Vidya Sagar, presently OSD to Chief Secretary, is transferred and appointed as Additional Collector – Local Bodies, Hyderabad, with additional charge of Chief Rationing Officer – Hyderabad, relieving Shri P Kadhiravan IAS (Telangana 2020) and relieving Shri G Phaneendra Reddy IAS (Telangana 2018).
20. Shri R Upender Reddy, presently awaiting posting is appointed as Secretary – HMDA.
