Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, December 09, 2024| The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) has reshuffled five senior IAS officers. The new appointments include overseeing industries and infrastructure development, managing food and civil supply systems, enhancing higher education and technical training, and improving housing finance.   1. Shri Bipul Pathak IAS (AGMUT 1992), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) – Industries, with additional charge of Chairman – Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) and Managing Director – Delhi Khadi & Village Industries Board (DKVIB), New Delhi.
  2. Shri Sanjiv Kumar IAS (AGMUT 1992), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS)-cum-Commissioner – Food and Civil Supply, New Delhi, with additional charge of Chairman – Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and Chief Managing Director (CMD) – Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC), New Delhi.
  3. Shri A Anbarasu IAS (AGMUT 1996), presently, Principal Secretary – Home and Public Works Department (PWD), given additional charge as Principal Secretary – Information and Publicity, New Delhi.

  4. Smt Nandini Paliwal IAS (AGMUT 2003), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Secretary – Higher Education & Training and Technical Education, New Delhi, with additional charge of Managing Director – Delhi Co-operative Housing Finance Corporation (DCHFC), New Delhi.

  5. Shri Kumar Abhishek IAS (AGMUT 2016), presently, General Manager, Delhi Consumer’s Co-operative Wholesale Store (DCCWS) with additional charge of General Manager, Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC), is transferred and appointed as Director – Higher Education and Director – Training and Technical Education (TTE), with additional charge of General Manager – Delhi Consumer’s Co-operative Wholesale Store (DCCWS) and General Manager – Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC), New Delhi.

Shri Sanjay Malhotra IAS (Rajasthan 1990) presently Secretary- Revenue has been appointed as the 26th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The Cabinet’s Appointments Committee has approved his three-year term, beginning December 11, 2024.

He succeeds Shaktikanta Das, whose tenure concludes on December 10, 2024. Known for his vast experience in finance, taxation, and public policy, Malhotra is regarded as an exceptional choice to lead the RBI during a time of global economic uncertainty.
