Shri Bharat Lal IFoS (Gujarat 1988), currently serving as the Secretary General of the National Human Rights Commission (with the rank and pay of a Secretary to the Government of India), has been granted a one-year extension on a contract basis. This extension, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, will take effect from June 30, 2024.
