Shri Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka IAS (Telangana 1995), presently Additional Director General, Dr MCR HRD Institute, transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary – Mines & Geology, and, Industries & Commerce Department, relieving Smt Santhi Kumari IAS from additional charge of the post.
Shri Ekka’s earlier transfer from the department in May 2024 had drawn attention, coming soon after a high-level review of revenue-generating departments. His return now places him once again at the helm of a sector critical to Telangana’s economy.
