Ms Aditi Singh IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2009), presently on Central Deputation and posted as Director – Rural Development, is appointed as Joint Secretary – Department of Rural Development, at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix, on Central Deputation basis for a tenure of five years upto 30.07.2028.
Ms. Aditi Singh, an esteemed Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has consistently demonstrated remarkable leadership, policy acumen, and administrative efficiency throughout her distinguished career. With extensive experience across rural development, finance, taxation, land revenue management, and transport, she has played a pivotal role in governance and public service delivery.
Her journey in civil service commenced with her training in August 2009, following which she assumed field responsibilities as Joint Magistrate, Lucknow (August 2011 – April 2012). Her early years in administration provided her with hands-on experience in land revenue management and district administration.
She transitioned to rural development in April 2012, serving as Chief Development Officer, Lucknow, where she played a significant role in implementing grassroots development initiatives. Her expertise in governance was further refined when she was appointed District Collector & District Magistrate, Pilibhit (February – September 2013), overseeing crucial administrative functions and revenue management.
Ms. Singh continued to take on key leadership roles, serving as District Collector & Magistrate in Rae Bareli (February – June 2014), Sultanpur (July 2014 – September 2015), Unnao (January – October 2017), Hapur (April 2018 – February 2021), and Ballia (February 2021 – January 2022). In these assignments, she led major developmental projects, improved governance mechanisms, and strengthened public service delivery.
Her expertise in finance and taxation was evident during her tenure as Additional Commercial Tax Commissioner, Noida (November 2017 – April 2019 and January 2022 – July 2023), where she played a critical role in revenue generation and policy implementation.
In July 2023, Ms. Singh was appointed Director, Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development, on Central Deputation, where she worked on policy formulation and implementation of rural development programs at the national level. Recognizing her outstanding contributions, she was elevated to Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Government of India (March 2025 – July 2028), where she continues to play a vital role in shaping rural development policies and initiatives.
