Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh IAS (Rakesh Kumar Singh-2, UP 2016), presently Secretary to Chief Minister Uttar Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as Chief Executive CEO – Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), with additional charge of CEO – Noida International Airport.

The Uttar Pradesh government, under the 1976 Industrial Development Act, created the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on April 24, 2001, to oversee the Yamuna Expressway Project. YEIDA managed 1,187 villages across Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura, and Agra, covering 268,862 hectares. It handled land acquisition, infrastructure like drainage, and a master plan, boosting sustainable growth.

Noida International Airport Ltd, is a joint venture of UP Government (37.5%), Noida (37.5%), Greater Noida (12.5%), and YEIDA (12.5%), is responsible for establishing and operating the new airport at Jewar. The company is responsible for design, construct, and for manage infrastructure like runways, terminals, and cargo facilities, while securing land and coordinating customs, security, and other services, guided by a seven-member board chaired by the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh.
