Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, June 16, 2025| The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), chaired by the Prime Minister, has approved the empanelment of thirty-eight (38) Indian Police Service (IPS) officers for appointment to the post of Additional Director General (ADG) or equivalent positions in Central Government ministries. These officers belong to the 1995–1997 batches.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, under which the IPS operates, issued the official notification today, listing the names of the empanelled officers. A majority of the officers—thirty-two (32)—belong to the 1997 batch. From the 1995 batch, Shri Atul Singh of the Andhra Pradesh cadre is the sole officer empanelled. Additionally, five (05) officers from the 1996 batch have also been included.

The list of officers along with their current designations is provided below.

Cadre – AGMUT (06); Batch 1996-01, 1997-05
