Shri Navin Mittal is a highly accomplished and respected civil servant, known for his visionary leadership and administrative excellence across a wide spectrum of governance sectors. An alumnus of the prestigious IIT Delhi, he holds a B.Tech in Computer Science with First Class honors, bringing a strong analytical foundation to his administrative responsibilities.
He has recently been appointed as Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Telangana, following a successful tenure as Principal Secretary, Revenue (Land Revenue & Registration). His leadership in the Revenue Department was marked by progressive land reforms and citizen-centric service delivery initiatives.
Over the years, Shri Mittal has held several impactful roles that reflect his versatility and commitment to public service. As Commissioner of Collegiate Education since 2018, he played a key role in strengthening higher education systems and introducing forward-looking reforms. His earlier assignments as Commissioner, GHMC and Secretary, MA&UD were instrumental in driving urban development and modernizing municipal governance in Hyderabad.
Shri Mittal has also excelled as District Collector and Magistrate in Hyderabad and Krishna, where his proactive approach to administration and developmental planning earned widespread appreciation. His early work in tribal welfare and social justice, particularly as Project Director in Adilabad, underscores his inclusive governance ethos.
With proven expertise in areas ranging from finance and elections to urban affairs and education, Shri Navin Mittal stands out as an officer with rare administrative depth and a reform-oriented mindset.
