Shri Anurag Dhankar, a distinguished officer of the Indian Police Service comes with a commendable track record of over 30 years in law enforcement, Shri Dhankar brings deep institutional knowledge and seasoned leadership to the role. Prior to this appointment, he served as DGP (Intelligence), where his strategic oversight and dedication to internal security significantly contributed to the state’s intelligence operations.
Over the course of his career, Shri Dhankar has held several critical positions within Tripura, including SDPO Longtharai Valley, Superintendent of Police in the undivided West and South Tripura districts, SP of the Special Branch, and AIG (Headquarters). He is also a certified fraud examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), USA—highlighting his commitment to continuous learning and specialized expertise. His contributions have been recognized with the prestigious Police Medal for Meritorious Service, a testament to his integrity, dedication, and excellence in policing.
