Ms. Mithra’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions was evident when she took charge as Director, Power Department (ANERT) from March 2015 to August 2016, where she actively promoted non-conventional energy initiatives and rural technology. Her leadership as District Collector, Kollam from August 2016 to August 2017 was marked by proactive governance, effective crisis management, and people-centric administration.
She continued her impactful tenure in local governance as Project Executive Director, Local Self Government Department from August 2017 to June 2018 and later as Additional Secretary, Local Self Government Department from June 2018 to November 2019, where she played a key role in policy implementation and institutional strengthening.
Recognizing her expertise, she was appointed as Director (Census Operations), Kerala in November 2019, at the level of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. In this role, she spearheaded critical census operations, ensuring precision and efficiency in data collection and demographic analysis.
