Justice Ramachandra Dattatray Huddar presently Additional Judge- Karnataka High Court has been appointed as Permanent Judge- Karnataka High Court.

Justice Ramachandra Dattatray Huddar has had an illustrious legal career marked by dedication and excellence. Born on August 13, 1963, in Gokak, Belgaum District, he began his journey in the field of law by graduating from the esteemed R.L. Law College, Belagavi. He embarked on his professional path as an advocate practicing in Gokak, showcasing his commitment to justice from the very start.

His judicial career commenced with his appointment as Munsiff on February 8, 1995, a role in which he demonstrated his judicial acumen and integrity. Progressing steadily, he was appointed as District Judge on July 2, 2009. Justice Huddar held numerous significant positions, including Registrar (Review & Statistics), Registrar (Administration), Additional Registrar General of the Dharwad Bench, Registrar (Infrastructure & Maintenance), and Registrar (Computers).

He further contributed immensely as the Principal District and Sessions Judge of both Dharwad and Mysuru, and as the Principal City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru. Justice Huddar’s expertise also enriched the Karnataka Judicial Academy, Bengaluru, during his tenure as Director.

Recognized for his remarkable contributions to the judiciary and legal fraternity, he was sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Karnataka on January 24, 2023. Justice Huddar’s illustrious career reflects his unwavering dedication to upholding justice and improving judicial systems.
