The Government of India has made several key appointments in various ministries, with several senior civil servants receiving promotions and new responsibilities. Shri Faiz Ahmed Kidwai (IAS, Madhya Pradesh, 1996), currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has been appointed as Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, with the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Shri Akash Tripathi (IAS, Madhya Pradesh, 1998), who is presently the CEO of MyGov under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power. Shri Kamal Kishore Soan (IAS, Jharkhand, 1998), currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Mission Director for the Jal Jeevan Mission in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, under the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
Shri Ashutosh Agnihotri (IAS, Assam-Meghalaya, 1999), currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of the Food Corporation of India, with the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Ms. Shubha Thakur (CSS, 1989), who is currently Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Inter-State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs. Lastly, Shri Vinay Kumar (IAS, Bihar, 1999), who is currently Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has been elevated to the position of Additional Secretary in the same Ministry.
