The Ministry of Ayush’s “Yoga Break at Workplace” (Y-Break) initiative has been honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for its stellar performance on the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat Platform. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for DoPT, presented the award to Dr. Kashinath Samagandi of the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) during the Karmayogi Saptah’s Valedictory Ceremony in New Delhi.

Designed as a five-minute yoga regimen, the Y-Break protocol integrates simple yet effective practices like Tadasana and Nadisodhana Pranayama, tailored to help employees reduce stress, boost immunity, and maintain productivity during work hours. With over 868,094 government officials completing the course, it emerged as the top-performing program on the iGOT platform, reflecting its success in promoting workplace wellness.

The program’s efficacy was further validated through trials involving 717 participants from 35 organizations, who reported improved focus, reduced stress, and enhanced immunity. Recognized for its adaptability across diverse sectors, the initiative underscores the Ministry’s commitment to holistic health, encouraging widespread adoption in both public and private organizations to foster healthier, more productive workplaces.
