Tata Chemicals successfully hosted a free health camp on 16th June from 9am to 2pm at its hospital in Mithapur, serving the local communities and nearby villages, which together have a population of around 30,000 people.
The camp offered free general check-ups by physicians and surgeons, along with specialised consultations from oncologists and cardiologists. Participants had full access to the hospital’s facilities and medical equipment.
Established on August 15, 1949, Tata Chemicals Hospital has treated over 10 million patients in its 75-year history. This health camp continued the hospital’s tradition of providing accessible healthcare services to the community.
Dr. S. Bhatnagar, Chief Health and Wellness Officer at Tata Chemicals Hospital, emphasised the event’s importance. “For over seven decades, Tata Chemicals Hospital has been dedicated to quality healthcare for the Mithapur community. This camp reaffirmed our commitment to the community’s well-being, offering specialist consultations and screenings.”
Four medical professionals, including a general physician, a general surgeon, a cardiologist, and an oncologist, addressed a wide range of healthcare needs during the camp, benefiting locals from Mithapur, Surajkaradi, Arambhada, Bhimrana, Okha, Beyt, Mojap, Varvala, and other villages.
Mr. N. Kamath, Chief Manufacturing Officer at Tata Chemicals, noted, “Tata Chemicals Hospital has significantly improved healthcare access for the Mithapur community. This camp provided essential healthcare to thousands in underserved areas, helping detect and manage chronic conditions early.”
