Six IAS Trainees posted as Asst Secretary in the Department of DPIIT

IndianBureaucracy, New Delhi – Six 2022 Batch of IAS Officer Trainees have recently been assigned as Assistant Secretaries in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

After successfully completing their district training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, these Officer Trainees are designated as Assistant Secretaries across various Central Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

The Trainee Officers are:

  1. Sachin Sharma IAS (Himachal Pradesh 2022), holds a degree in B.E. and recently concluded his District training as Assistance Commissioner to DC – Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
  2. Gaurav Kumar IAS (Bihar 2022), holds a degree in M.A. in Geography and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Aurangabad, Bihar.
  3. Parth Gupta IAS (Bihar 2022), holds a degree in B. Tech. and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Madhubani, Bihar.
  4. Rahul Anand IAS (Uttarakhand 2022), holds a degree in B. Tech. and recently concluded his District training at Uttarakhand.
  5. Sushant Padha IAS (AGMUT 2022), holds a degree in B.A. and recently concluded his District training as Attached with Deputy Commissioner – Govt. of National capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), South Delhi.
  6. Vishal Khatri IAS (Maharashtra 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech and PG Diploma and recently concluded his District training as Supernumerary Assistant Collector – Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.

Starting from May 20, 2024, till July 12, 2024, for a period of eight weeks, the Officer Trainees will be actively participating in the day-to-day operations in their assigned duties. This period marks a critical step in their careers, offering first hand experience in governance and policy implementation at the highest levels of the Indian bureaucracy.
