Shri Vijay Khanduja (2004), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Zimbabwe, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Cameroon.
Shri Vijay Khanduja (2004), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Zimbabwe, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Cameroon.
Shri Vijay Khanduja assumed the role of Ambassador of India to Zimbabwe on November 9, 2020. Prior to this, he served as Director of the UN Economic & Social Division at the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi from 2017. Mr. Khanduja has an extensive career in the Indian government, including economic and multilateral work at the Indian Embassy in Paris (1989-1992, 2009-2012), administrative and consular roles at the High Commission in Islamabad (1997-2000), and the Consulate General in Shanghai (2003-2006). He also managed political, cultural, and commercial affairs in Budapest (2014-2017) as First Secretary/Counsellor and handled bilateral relations with Bosnia & Herzegovina.
At the Ministry of External Affairs headquarters, he has worked in the Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka (BSM) Division, Policy Planning & Research Division, and Communication and Vigilance (CNV) Division. Shri Khanduja speaks Hindi, English, and French and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Delhi University.
