International Ayurveda Day 2023 is set to be celebrated in approximately 100 countries globally. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Ayurveda for One Health.’
In preparation for the event, the Ministry of Ayush conducted a meeting that included representatives from various ministries to ensure its success. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, presided over the meeting and emphasized the importance of making Ayurveda Day a national program with the cooperation and support of all ministries in the country. During the meeting, officials from various ministries, including Home, Culture, Foreign, Tribal, Water Resources, Science and Technology Department, and CSIR, shared their ideas to enhance the celebration. They highlighted the significance of using digital technology and mobilizing various activities to transform Ayurveda Day into a global event. The key focus areas for Ayurveda Day are ‘Ayurveda for students, Ayurveda for farmers, Ayurveda for public health,’ with the overarching message of ‘Ayurveda for everyone every day.’ The primary goal of Ayurveda Day is to promote and disseminate Ayurveda on an international scale and establish its significance in the global context for the well-being of humans, animals, plants, and the environment.
