NLC India Limited to inculcate basic ethos like humanity, harmony, peace and to instill sentiments of peaceful-coexistence, mutual respect, amity and brotherhood amongst the diverse segments of employees and among Neyveli community is organizing various Cultural & Social Functions.
NLC I organizing functions like New Year, Thai Pongal, Holi, Durga Pooja, Deepawali, Ramzan, Ugadi, Christmas, Kannada Rajyothsava Day and Onam, etc., by inviting various cultural forums of Neyveli like, Telugu Kala Samithi, Kannada Sangha, Bharathiya Kalasamithi, Kerala Kala Samithi etc. and also representatives of various Trade Unions and Associations, wherein Bureaucrats, famous personalities will participate and deliver message on cultural Harmony.
As part of this, NLC I celebrated “Onam” festival 2016 at Lignite Hall on 25th November 2016 evening with great fervor and gaiety.
Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLC I inaugurated the “Onam” celebrations by lighting the traditional lamp in the presence of Smt Yogamaya Acharya , Shri Rakesh Kumar Director(Finance), Shri P.Selvakumar, Director (P&P) and Shri N.Ravindran Nair, Patron, Kerala Kala Samithi at Lignite Hall, Neyveli.
Dr. Acharya in his speech stressed that as organization NLC I believes that, strength of any organization lies in achieving cultural and religious harmony along with administrative efficiency. To realize this NLCI is contributing significantly with its initiatives in diverse ways to preserve and expand the harmonious social fabric of the country. He conveyed his Onam wishes to Kerala Kala Samithi members and appreciated for their significant role in the growth of the organization.
He also said that, celebrating festival like “Onam” will give opportunity to all to know about the culture of Kerala. The diversity in cultures, races and religions of the world are so rich and beautiful, that if properly harnessed and appreciated, the world will be a peaceful place indeed, He added.
Earlier, festivals Thai Pongal, Holi, Durga Pooja, Deepawali, Ugadi, were celebrated for this year and on the same line ‘Bakrid” festival will be celebrated on coming 30th September of this month.
