SJVN declared an Interim Dividend of 785.95 Cr for FY 2017-18

On account of its financial performance for the year 2017-18 public sector SJVN Limited has declared an interim dividend of Rs. 785.95 (@ 1.90 rupees per share) to its shareholders. SJVN Limited has paid interim dividend of Rs. 504.75 crore to the Govt. of India holding 64.3% equity in the Company.  Last year company paid dividend of Rs. 1137.57 crore to its shareholders.

The dividend cheque was handed over to the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Power Shri R.K. Singh by Shri Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN Limited at New Delhi. The cheque was presented in the presence of, Shri A.K. Bhalla, Secretary (Power) and senior officials of the Ministry of Power.  On this occasion Sh. A.S. Bindra Director (Finance),  Sh. R.K. Bansal, Director (Electrical) and senior officers of SJVN were also present.

While handing over the cheque to the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Power, Shri Nand Lal Sharma informed him that during the financial year 2017-18, Ministry of Power had set target for SJVN to generate 8950 Million Units of electricity under “Excellent” rating, whereas a total of around 9015 Million Units of electricity has been generated from 1500 MW NJHPS, 412 MW RHPS, 47.6 MW Khirvire WPP and 5 MW Charanka Solar Power Station, till date.

Besides executing Projects in Himachal Pradesh, SJVN is presently executing projects in Nepal, Bhutan, Uttrakhand, Bihar and Gujarat.  SJVN which has already diversified in the field of Wind Power, Thermal Power and Power Transmission is presently generating around 2000 MW of electricity.
