97 Punjab Cops Transferred: Location – Patiala, Pathankot, Phillaur and Ropar

Indian Bureaucracy, Chandigarh, April 07, 2025 | Amidst ongoing concerns and efforts to combat drug trafficking in the state, the Punjab government, on April 6, 2025, issued a late-night order transferring ninety-seven (97) police personnel, including eleven (11) IPS officers.  The following list details the officers now transferred and primarily based out of Patiala, Pathankot, Phillaur and Ropar.

Patiala

1. Shri Vaibhav Choudhary IPS (Punjab 2020), presently ASP Detective, Patiala, is appointed as SP, Hqrs., Patiala, relieving Smt. Harwant Kaur (DR).
2. Shri Bhupinder Singh (TP 64), presently AIG, ANTF, Bathinda Range, is appointed as AIG, ANTF, Patiala Range, Patiala, relieving Shri Jatinder Singh.
3. Shri Palwinder Singh Cheema (DR), presently SP, Special Branch, Sangrur, is transferred and appointed as SP, City, Patiala, Punjab.
4. Shri Sukhminder Singh (59 PR), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as SP – Excise & Taxation, Punjab, Patiala relieving Shri Sameer Verma.
5. Shri Krishan Kumar (PRT 79, 345 PR), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as SP – Traffic & Security, Patiala, Punjab.
6. Smt Swaranjit Kaur (1107 BR), presently SP – Hqrs., Malerkotla, is appointed as SP – PBI, Patiala, Punjab.
7. Shri Gurbans Singh (22 PR, 198 J), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as SP – Investigation, Patiala, Punjab relieving Shri Yogesh Kumar (DR).
8. Shri Yogesh Kumar (DR), presently SP – Investigation, Patiala, is appointed as SP – NRI, Patiala, Punjab.

Pathankot

1. Shri Manoj Kumar (1357 PAP), presently SP, Hqrs., Hoshiarpur, is appointed as SP – Investigation, Pathankot, Punjab.
2. Shri Jastinder Singh (13 FR, 368 BR), presently Available for posting on placement, is appointed as SP – Hqrs., Pathankot, Punjab relieving Shri Gurbaj Singh, (DR).
3. Shri Pardeep Singh Sandhu (1391 PAP), presently SP – Investigation, Fazilka, is appointed as Assistant Commandant, 4th IRB, Shahpur Kandi, Pathankot, Punjab.

Phillaur

1. Smt Amandeep Kaur (9 SGR), presently Assistant Commandant, 5th IRB, Amritsar, is appointed as Commandant-cum-Deputy Director (General), MRS PPA, Phillaur, relieving Shri Raj Kumar.
